Sermon Notes, April 11, 2021
We have come to the end of Matthew. Many times in this study we have noted that one of the big themes of this book is that Jesus is the King. Hence the series title – “The Greater Kingdom’s Greater King.” Jesus is the Great King – ruling not only over the Chosen People of Israel but over the whole world. This emphasis on Christ’s Kingship comes into focus one last time as Matthew concludes with the Great King’s Great Calling. Before He ascends into Heaven, Jesus gives His disciples a mission – a mission that we today are still carrying out.
