Spring – Session 6
Sinners?
Acceptance awaits those who seek Jesus in repentance.
LUKE 19:1-10
Many of us have a list of people we would like to meet—perhaps a celebrity, an author, or an athlete who plays for our favorite team. We think that if we can get close to them they might respond kindly to our request for a selfie or an autograph. We certainly wouldn’t expect them to invite us to lunch or to visit our home. Yet that is what happened to a tax collector when he climbed a tree just to get a glimpse of Jesus. That tax collector found acceptance and forgiveness, which is what Jesus offers us as well.
Name someone you want to meet. What is it about that person that draws you to them?

VBS 2021 – Mystery Island: Tracking Down the One True God
Is there just one God? . . . Who is God? . . . What is God like? . . . Does God love me? . . . Can I know God? Our kids grapple with questions like these every day. At Mystery Island, we’ll uncover the truth about our Creator God! There’s a sea of confusion about who God is and what he’s like, so we’ll track down the one true God and learn how amazing he is through the pages of Scripture. Mystery Island VBS is packed with teaching that connects the Bible to the real world and gives kids a better understanding of our awe-inspiring Creator and the salvation he offers through Jesus Christ. Each day, kids will learn more about one of God’s amazing attributes (great, almighty, ruler, Emmanuel, trustworthy) and how that applies to their lives. Grab your sunscreen and get ready for a taste of paradise as you track down the one true God at Mystery Island!

Engaging Emotions
Wednesdays, March 24 – April 28
7:00 p.m., Room 245 and via Zoom
(see website event for Zoom link)
led by Tony Richmond
Our emotional responses are vitally important to our relationship with God and with others. They are a great opportunity for us to grow in Christlikeness and love. Emotions have the power to enrich relationships or drive wedges into them. Emotions are an essential way in which we bear God’s image.

Rotating Worship Schedule for Adult Bible Study Classes
We are asking each of our Adult Bible Study Classes to rotate to one of our designated remote worship areas (either the Gym or the LOFT) once per month during Worship Service times. This only affects the Worship Service times (8:30 and 11:00 a.m.) and does not affect your Sunday school class time or location. This rotation schedule allows for adequate social distancing during Worship Service times. Thank you for your support and cooperation.

Our goal is to provide a safe, fully staffed environment in which to teach our children the truth of God’s Word. Our core policies, upon which we will be operating, are posted on our website. Thank you for your patience, service, and love for one another during these unique days.
