About FM First Baptist

Flower Mound First Baptist has been making much of Jesus in the Timber Creek area for over 30 years. Every week we gather to magnify Christ in word & deed, mature as Christ-followers, and multiply and make disciples for Christ. Hebrews 12:1-2

John 15:11

1 From the Word

“Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.” (Psalm 1:1–3, ESV)
2 From the Father

“And he began to say to them, “Today this Scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing.”” (Luke 4:21, ESV)

“I will greatly rejoice in the Lord; my soul shall exult in my God, for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation; he has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself like a priest with a beautiful headdress, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.” (Isaiah 61:10, ESV)
3 From His Followers

“Nevertheless, do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.” In that same hour he rejoiced in the Holy Spirit and said, “I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to little children; yes, Father, for such was your gracious will.” (Luke 10:20–21, ESV)
4 From Sinners

“And if he finds it, truly, I say to you, he rejoices over it more than over the ninety-nine that never went astray.” (Matthew 18:13, ESV)
5 From God's Plan

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.” (Hebrews 12:1–2, ESV)

“God raised him up, loosing the pangs of death, because it was not possible for him to be held by it. For David says concerning him, “ ‘I saw the Lord always before me, for he is at my right hand that I may not be shaken; therefore my heart was glad, and my tongue rejoiced; my flesh also will dwell in hope. For you will not abandon my soul to Hades, or let your Holy One see corruption. You have made known to me the paths of life; you will make me full of gladness with your presence.’” (Acts 2:24–28, ESV)

Happiness Challenge

Over the next 10 weeks we encourage you to reflect and remember the Beatitudes. Save the image to your phone. Read it several times a day. Find a rhythm that works for you. You'll be drawn to Jesus each day and become more like him.

Give Here

Giving is an act of worship. We acknowledge God as the supreme treasure of our hearts & homes. We give to him as a way of praising and thanking him for his abundant grace toward us. We trust the Father will care for us as he does the rest of creation. It also frees us to live simple lives unhindered from what moth and rust can destroy.
