The Family Table: Realizing Your Impact
Love impacts your pace
People want to be drawn in, not pushed out.
--Jesus invites us and commands us to live rooted in love
Sin is real
--But God loves us in our mess and in our world
Love impacts your pace
People want to be drawn in, not pushed out.
--Jesus invites us and commands us to live rooted in love
Sin is real
--But God loves us in our mess and in our world
Jesus calls our lives to not look at life and compare ourselves with those around us to find a quality or standard to live from...
Our standard is the life Jesus calls us to.
Love is selfless.
The Kingdom of Jesus is centered on Jesus and action-oriented,
My pace of life is love
Love communicates:
--you matter
--your story is important
--I want to hear your story
Love meets people where they are at, so that people in process have people who will process with them with patience.
Question: Do our children know that our love for them is not just verbally but shown that our love for them is a greater priority than anything else?
3 Key Areas for My pace of life is love:
1. Time
--Does my calendar reflect intentional acts of love to my kids?
2. Energy
--My energy level impacts how I meet my kids in their life.
3. Patience
--My pace of life is love because love is costly. To genuinely love someone, being willing to move at their pace is meeting where they are.
--What would it take to adjust your pace to the children and teens in our community?
--Families, how can your pace of life be love in the living room?
Our standard is the life Jesus calls us to.

PCC BENEDICTION
May you jump into the arms of Jesus and may He push out into the world. May you be healed as you participate in the healing of others. Not because you must, but because you may. This is why we were born!

BEYOND SUNDAY
Families need to know their words, their love, and their people all impact not just the adults but the kids as well. And those kids become adults. The aim of this series, Family Table - Realizing Your Impact, is to empower and resource families to be intentional with their words, their love, and the people they do life with.
1. How did your parents model love in your family? What impact did that have in your life?
2. According to Family Pastor Danny Bowers, love is costly. See John 3:16. How was true love shown to all mankind? What was the cost?
3. View the video (see below) of how parents modeled love and the imprint it left on them. What are your reactions? If you have older children or grandchildren, ask them how love has been shown to them and the impact it has had in their life.Share the responses with your group.
4. According to Pastor Danny, our pace of life is characterized by: 1) Time 2) Energy 3) Patience. Which one of these is the easiest for you? The hardest? How are you measuring up in giving your time, energy, and patience to your kids and teens?
5. This week we lost a giant in the faith. After fighting his battle with cancer, evangelist Luis Palau went home to be with the Lord at age 86 on Thursday, March 11. But not before having an impact on millions of people for the Lord. He gave his time, energy, patience, and love to people throughout his life. How does his life or another life you have known inspire you to have an impact in the community? In the world?
