Conversation Starters help us dig deeper, connecting Sunday’s sermons with our Monday lives. These prompts have been designed to help Community Groups grow in their relationship with God, with one another, and with their neighbors. Please know that these questions are meant to be a resource to you. You do not have to follow them verbatim or get through them all. We trust you to know your group and to ask the questions based on your group needs.
1. Now that we have been in this rhythm for eight weeks, what impact has theFormed.life had on your daily life?
2. Read Luke 22:39-46. Why is this passage significant regarding how we understand the two natures of Christ (divine and human)?
3. Consider the agony of Jesus here, especially Luke 22:42-43. If what motivated Jesus to endure this is the divine love for humanity, consider what it would feel like to experience this unspeakable love? Move beyond what someone else ought to think (even take a few minutes to close your eyes and consider in silence) and consider what you feel at this unspeakable love of Jesus.
4. Jesus is anxious in this text. How does the fact that Jesus experiences agonizing anxiety speak into your life?
