The Week we are looking at 4 stories (one we will return too next week)
Mark 3:7-34
We have the
1- Crowd----who just want things from Jesus (sound like some of us Church people---what can the Church give me---and if they did not get what I want---I am leaving)
2. The Twelve: chosen disciple, radically different from each other (this is the section we will return too next Sunday
3. Family----who thought Jesus had "lost it"
4. Faith leaders who accused Jesus of being in league with Satan
---- this is when Christ gives us the unforgiveable sin-----
---- wait, there's an unforgivable yes? Yep
5. Family---true family is family of God
- hard words but Jesus also says belief in Him may spilt families
Luke 12:52-53 (NIV)
52 From now on there will be five in one family divided against each other, three against two and two against three.
53 They will be divided, father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law."

Mark 3:7-12 (NIV) Jesus withdrew with his disciples to the lake, and a large crowd from Galilee followed.
8 When they heard all he was doing, many people came to him from Judea, Jerusalem, Idumea, and the regions across the Jordan and around Tyre and Sidon.
9 Because of the crowd he told his disciples to have a small boat ready for him, to keep the people from crowding him.
10 For he had healed many, so that those with diseases were pushing forward to touch him.
11 Whenever the evil spirits saw him, they fell down before him and cried out, "You are the Son of God."
12 But he gave them strict orders not to tell who he was.
People traveled from MILES around to see Jesus----to get something ---healings
--- yes Christ desires healing....but ultimate healing of ones relationship with the Father

Mark 3:13-19 (NIV)
13 Jesus went up on a mountainside and called to him those he wanted, and they came to him.
14 He appointed twelve--designating them apostles--that they might be with him and that he might send them out to preach
15 and to have authority to drive out demons.
16 These are the twelve he appointed: Simon (to whom he gave the name Peter);
17 James son of Zebedee and his brother John (to them he gave the name Boanerges, which means Sons of Thunder);
18 Andrew, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James son of Alphaeus, Thaddaeus, Simon the Zealot
19 and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed him.

Mark 3:20-21 (NIV)
20 Then Jesus entered a house, and again a crowd gathered, so that he and his disciples were not even able to eat.
21 When his family heard about this, they went to take charge of him, for they said, "He is out of his mind."

4. Faith leaders who accused Jesus of being in league with Satan
---- this is when Christ gives us the unforgiveable sin-----
---- wait, there's an unforgivable yes? Yep
Mark 3:22-30 (NIV)
22 And the teachers of the law who came down from Jerusalem said, "He is possessed by Beelzebub! By the prince of demons he is driving out demons."
23 So Jesus called them and spoke to them in parables: "How can Satan drive out Satan? If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand. And if Satan opposes himself and is divided, he cannot stand; his end has come.
In fact, no one can enter a strong man's house and carry off his possessions unless he first ties up the strong man. Then he can rob his house.
I tell you the truth, all the sins and blasphemies of men will be forgiven them.
But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; he is guilty of an eternal sin." He said this because they were saying, "He has an evil spirit."
---did you catch it?
The Leaders are saying Christ is in league with Satan....working together. In order words, they are DENYING the working and indwelling of the Holy Spirt in Jesus....
So---in other words saying what Christ was doing and saying was of the Devil--- They willfully chose to reject!!!!!
the Unforgivable Sin is to willfully reject the work of the Holy Spirit through Christ which is then also rejecting the work and words of Christ for your life!!!
So Friends---if you wonder IF you have committed this sin and are asking Jesus about it----you have not...
But if you say, "God I want it my way and not your way....God I don't believe your Word and reject You and your Son."
-----well then you are living in the unforgivable sin.....
---unless you change you heart.

Luke 12:52-53 (NIV) From now on there will be five in one family divided against each other, three against two and two against three.
