Principle of First seen throughout scripture and always works

The first belongs to God

PRINCIPLE OF FIRST: THE FIRST BORN IS TO BE SACRIFICED OR REDEEMED

If it's unclean, it has to be redeemed with the sacrifice of the clean

Jesus was without sin (Hebrews 4:15, 1 John 3:5, 1 Peter 2:2)

The clean had to be sacrificed so that the unclean could be redeemed

The first portion given redeems the rest

Why give the first? It takes faith to give the first

While we were sinners, Jesus died for us. (Romans 5:8)

PRINCIPLE OF FIRST: THE FIRST FRUITS ARE TO BE OFFERED (BROUGHT)

We “bring” an offering because we can not “give" what we do not own

PRINCIPLE OF FIRST: THE FIRST FRUITS ARE TO BE OFFERED SPECIFICALLY TO THE LORD

Matthew 6:33 Seek first his kingdom

Pick a percentage and offer it to God FIRST

We gladly offer to God the first because of what He did for us
