Everybody needs a safe place to BELONG -- a safe place to just BE!

None of us have had a perfect run at parenting - but many of us have learned to pray on the run as parents.

Stage 1 = The primary goal is to capture and guard your child’s heart.

Disciple their hearts. Teach them to live for an audience of ONE.

Proverbs 22:6, MSG
Point your kids in the right direction, when they’re old they won’t be lost.

Stage 2 = The primary goal is to prepare your child for adulthood.

1st Area = Fear of the Lord

Proverbs 14:26-27, MSG
The Fear of God builds up confidence and makes the world safe for your children.

2nd Area = Respect for Authority

1 Peter 2:17,
Respect everyone, and love your Christian brothers and sisters. Fear God.

3rd Area = Teach them to work hard. (work ethic)

Stage 3 = Primary goal is to reap what you’ve sown.

Galatians 6:7-10, MSG
Don’t be misled: No one makes a fool of God. What a person plants, he will harvest. The person who plants selfishness, ignoring the needs of others—ignoring God!—harvests a crop of weeds. All he’ll have to show for his life is weeds! But the one who plants in response to God, letting God’s Spirit do the growth work in him, harvests a crop of real life, eternal life. So let’s not allow ourselves to get fatigued doing good. At the right time we will harvest a good crop if we don’t give up, or quit. Right now, therefore, every time we get the chance, let us work for the benefit of all.
