*Call to Worship

Leader: As we gather together to worship, let us remember the words of Scripture:
People: Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil.
Leader:Jesus sent his disciples out two by two and gave them authority over evil spirits.
People: For with two, if you fall, someone is there to help you up.
Leader: Jesus says, “Where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them.”
People: Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves.
Leader: So, let us not give up meeting together, but let us encourage one another. Jesus says, “Where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them.”
People: Let us worship God together.

*Affirmation of Faith/Gloria Patri

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, creator of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended to the dead.

On the third day he rose again; he ascended into heaven, is seated at the right hand of the Father, and will come again to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic** church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
