When it comes to your calling,
Jesus knows your number and has your back.
Jesus knows your number and has your back.
Jesus knew exactly how to get Peter's attention . . .
* It was a net-breaking, boat-sinking miracle!
* Your calling is not for you, but for a world that Jesus loves.
But Jesus also had Peter's back!
> Your calling will always be tested
". . . I don't know him."
". . . Man, I am not!"
". . . I don't know what you're talking about!"
(Luke 22:57-58,60)
The Lord turned and looked straight at Peter.
(Luke 22:61a)
. . . Then Peter remembered the word the Lord had spoken to him: "Before the rooster crows today, you will disown me three times." And he went outside and wept bitterly.
(Luke 22:61-62)

> God's merciful plan is to bring you to the end of yourself
A. W. Tozer . . .
“It is doubtful whether God can bless a man greatly until He has hurt him deeply.”
“It is doubtful whether God can bless a man greatly until He has hurt him deeply.”
> It's at the end of yourself that Jesus wants to meet you with his resurrection power
IF JESUS DOES KNOW YOUR NUMBER AND HAVE YOUR BACK . . .
- How has Jesus been trying to get your attention?
- Are there failures that keep haunting you?
- Where do you need to take a step of obedience?
- How hungry are you for God’s power?
- Can he have all of you?

C. S. Lewis, Mere Christianity . . .
Hand over the whole natural self, all the desires which you think are innocent as well as the ones you think are wicked—the whole outfit. I will give you a new self instead. In fact, I will give you myself: my own will shall become yours."
