Our Prayer:
Father, I thank you for your Word which is alive and available to me. As I have made time to learn of You, teach me by your Holy Spirit, open my eyes and my heart to see and understand all that you have for me today, cause me to grow and mature in your way by the Spirit and Word of God, in Jesus name, Amen.

Attributes of a leader and components to leadership
-Leaders must walk in love!
Love is kind
Love is patient
-Leaders make room for stress and pain. Faithfulness through these creates growth
-Maturing leaders study in order to achieve growth. They desire growth.
-Mature leaders were once followers.
-Mature leaders understand their leadership has a direct impact on those they lead; "leadership effects follow-ship".

II. Prodigal Son
Luke 15:11-32
Components of leadership we can learn from the father in this passage.

1.Duplicate yourself: The father teaching/leading his sons
2.Patience: As your team matures /makes mistakes
3.Faithfulness: Remaining true to your word, followthrough
4.Faith: In God as your team makes errors, choices you don't desire
5.Forgiveness: When team members see their error
6.Celebration: as team members mature, learn from errors, are successful
7.Endurance: in order to see our team work through "growing pains"

We are all leaders in one capacity or another, rather as pastors, teachers, parents, students, coaches or athletes, etc... applying these principals in your life will enrich you personally and bring growth and development to those you lead.
