Long before Jesus set foot on our planet, before He ever took on human form, he had a purpose, personality and presence that was prophesied in the scriptures. As we look to Advent, we want to lean into His preincarnate biography unveiled in the fullness of time.

PREDICTIVE PROPHECY.
PETER STONER, "SCIENCE SPEAKS" SEVEN PROPHECIES:

ELIJAH:
-Gave a prophetic rebuke to the nation of Israel
-Was empowered to perform miracles.
-Promised Elisha a double portion of his spirit.
-Did not die but was taken up by a chariot of fire in a whirlwind.
JESUS:
-Rebuked the religious leaders hypocrisy.
-Calmed the storm, multiplied food, performed many miracles.
-Promised his followers the Holy Spirit was coming.
-Ascended in the clouds while his followers watched.
CAUSES OF DEPRESSION:
1. FEELING USELESS
2. PHYSICAL EXHAUSTION
3. LONELINESS
4. COMPARISON GAME
-Ride your line
-We tend to compare our weaknesses with other people's strengths.
5. FAKE NEWS
6. WE OVERSTATE THE NEGATIVE
HOW TO MOVE PAST DEPRESSION:
1. TAKE CARE OF YOUR PHYSICAL NEEDS
-Unplug each day
-Weekly Sabbath
-Yearly vacation
2. GIVE YOUR FRUSTRATIONS TO GOD
-Fear, Resentment, Loneliness, Worry
3. RENEW YOUR AWARENESS OF GOD
-"What are you doing here, Elijah?"
-What does it take for God to get your attention?
4. NEW DIRECTION FOR YOUR LIFE
5. HELP A NEW PERSON
