Sermon Title: On Cover Judging
Sermon Verses: Rev 21:9-27
9 And one of seven messengers came, holding seven vials, the ones full of the last seven plagues, and spoke with me saying, “Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.” 10 And he carried me, in the Spirit, up to a great and high mountain, and he showed me the holy city, Jerusalem, coming down out of the sky from God 11 having the glory of God, her luminance (was) like a precious stone, as a jasper stone crystalizing, 12 having great and high walls, having twelve gates and over the twelve gates twelve messengers and names engraved, which are [the names] of the twelve tribes of the sons of Israel; 13 from the gates of the east, three; and from the north gates, three; and from the west gates, three; and from the south gates, three. 14 And the walls of the city have twelve foundations and upon them twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. 15 And the one speaking with me had a gold measuring rod, in order that he might measure the city and her gates and her walls. 16 And the city lies on four corners and her length (is) as great as the width. And he measured the city with the rod over twelve thousand stadia, her length and width and height were equal. 17 And he measured her wall, each forty-four cubits—the measure of a person, which is from the messenger. 18 And the material of her wall (was) jasper and the city pure gold like clear glass. 19 The foundations of the wall of the city (were) all adorned with precious stones; the first foundation jasper, the second sapphire, the third turquoise, the fourth emerald, 20 the fifth sardonyx, the sixth ruby, the seventh golden stone, the eight beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh hyacinth, the twelfth amethyst, 21 and the twelve gates (were) twelve pears, above each one of the gates was six of one of the pearls. And the wide street of the city was pure gold as clear glass. 22 And I did not see the temple in it, for the Lord God Almighty is her temple and the Lamb. 23 And the city neither had need of the sun nor of the moon, in order that they might shine on it, for the glory of God lights her, and her lamp (is) the Lamb. 24 And the nations will walk forth because of her light, and the kings of the land will bring their glory to her, 25 and her gates shall never be closed (in those) days, for there will not be night, 26 and they will bring glory and honor of the nations into her. 27 And every unclean thing will not enter into her, and the one making abominations and lies, except those written in the Book of Life of the Lamb.
