CONVERSATION STARTERS
Conversation Starters help us dig deeper, connecting Sunday’s sermons with our Monday lives. These prompts have been designed to help Community Groups grow in their relationship with God, with one another, and with their neighbors. Please know that these questions are meant to be a resource to you. You do not have to follow them verbatim or get through them all. We trust you to know your group and to ask the questions based on your group needs.
1) What stood out to you from the sermon?
2) We learned that Babylon (or any modern-day human political, military or economic system) WILL eventually fall. How does that teaching influence your feelings on the election?
3) Read Revelation 14:6. What’s significant about the gospel being described as ‘eternal’ and who the angel has chosen to proclaim to?
4) In Revelation 14:12, endurance is required of the believers. This is the third time this phrase occurs (also in Rev 1:9 and Rev 13:10). How can you be a more enduring faithful presence with difficult people or difficult issues in your life?
PRAYER
Pray for our city as the weather turns, sickness increases and unemployment grows. A practical way you can encourage and lift up the vulnerable in KC is by sponsoring a Thanksgiving Donation Bag for CFBC’s Food Pantry. If you missed picking up a bag, contact Kaci Calhoun to get one: kacic@christcommunitykc.org.
