Christ Covenant Church
Behind the Vote (Part 4)
Behind every vote that is cast in an election is a deep personal belief and conviction. Our beliefs determine our future. “Behind the Vote” is not about politics. It’s about why we believe what we believe as Christ followers. During these unprecedented Sundays, Christ Covenant is putting you in control. You ask the questions you’ve always wanted to ask. Nothing is off limits. We will answer, simply and honestly and dig into God’s Word. Then, you decide what you really believe. If you’ve ever had tough questions about God or the Bible, this is for you. Or maybe you have a friend who’s skeptical about God that you want to invite. Nowhere are we told to accept Christianity on blind faith. If it can’t stand up to honest questions, it doesn’t deserve to be relied on. Come, let your voice be heard. And leave knowing what you believe and why.

RULE 1: Where the Bible speaks clearly, we will not waiver even if it offends someone.
RULE 2: If there are no scriptures that directly apply to that question, we’re going to go on a hunt in the Bible and find scriptures that are similar to it and apply it.
RULE 3: When we can’t find principles to apply, we’re going to do one of two things. We will either ignore the question, or I’ll give you my opinion which is perfectly fine for you to disagree with.
