Research shows that less than 20 percent of Americans will be attending church today. Where will you be? We hope to see you at 9:30 or 11 a.m. this morning for one good reason why you should attend church.
Acts 2:38-41 NIV
I. Three things to do while you are waiting for Jesus to return (Heb.10:25)
1. Draw near to God
2. Hold on to the hope of the resurrection
3. Spur one another on to love and good deeds
II. One good reason to attend church is because you need the encouragement.
1. Remind you
a. You are not alone
b. This life is just a blip in eternity
2. Provide people who
a. Pray and care in practical ways
b. Share their own stories and hope
c. Prod you along toward love and good deeds
3. Point you to a power that is higher than you as the source of your courage, comfort, security.
4. Life is hard. Living a holy life is even harder. You need encouragement and that is one good reason to attend church. So please keep coming back.
