1. Was there any passage of scripture or statement in the message today that was particularly meaningful or applicable to you?
2. Read Colossians 4:3-4 and Acts 8:26-35. How often do you pray for opportunities to share the gospel? What steps do you need to take to incorporate this prayer into your daily morning routine?
3. Read 1 Corinthians 9:19-23. What specific adjustments and sacrifices would you need to make to be able to share Paul’s “by-all-means” attitude about seeing God use you to win someone to Christ in the weeks ahead?
4. Read 3 John 3-4. When have you experienced something of the joy John speaks of here as a result of a time when you were used to help someone grow in their obedience to Christ? What can you do to experience that joy more often?
5. Read Romans 15:17-19, 2 Corinthians 2:14, and 7:4. Explain the difference between arrogance (sinful pride), and satisfaction in a job well done (“humble pride”). What would you say to someone who only chooses to express self-deprecating, negative, “I’m worthless” comments about his or her involvement in God’s work? How can you find joy in fruitfulness without falling into the trap of sinful pride?
