Welcome to Agincourt Church this morning! We're so glad you have joined us today.

See below for a short article from Pastor Jonathan, teaching notes and announcements.
The Global Leader Summit will take place at our Agincourt Campus on August 9-10. This two day, world-class leadership experience has the potential of shaping how you lead and how you live at home, at work, as a volunteer and even as a grandparent!

The GLS has fuelled me and grown me as a leader and I would strongly recommend that you plan on making this a priority this summer at OneChurch.to.

Jonathan Smith
Lead Pastor
“A person who aggravates distress under the guise of giving comfort.”
2 THINGS THEY GOT RIGHT
4 THINGS THEY GOT WRONG
3 ”WISDOMISMS” for our FRIENDSHIPS
1. THEY SHOWED UP
2. THEY RISKED GETTING INVOLVED
2. PRESUMED INSTEAD OF DISCERNING
“Then Job replied: ‘Doubtless you are the only people who matter, and wisdom will die with you!’”

~ Job 12:1-2
3. DIDN’T ASK GOD FOR WISDOM
4. MADE IT ALL ABOUT THEMSELVES
“Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.”

~ Ephesians 4:29
“After the Lord had said these things to Job, he said to Eliphaz the Temanite, “I am angry with you and your two friends, because you have not spoken the truth about me, as my servant Job has… My servant Job will pray for you, and I will accept his prayer and not deal with you according to your folly. You have not spoken the truth about me, as my servant Job has.”

~ Job 42:7, 8b
1. Don’t try to find in your friends what can only be found in God
2. Keep your heart clean toward friends that get it wrong
“After Job had prayed for his friends, the Lord restored his fortunes and gave him twice as much as he had before.”

~ Job 42:10
3. listen til you understand
pray til you discern
then say what actually helps
"Stoop down and reach out to those who are oppressed. Share their burdens, and so complete Christ’s law. If you think you are too good for that, you are badly deceived."

~ Galatians 6:2b-3
