Welcome to Dover Assembly!

GRADUATION SUNDAY
Join us NEXT Sunday, June 5 as we celebrate our High School graduate, Katie Jones! See insert!
WOMEN OF PURPOSE DINNER
The ladies will be going to Ray's on Carlisle Road in Rossville on Friday, June 10 at 6:00. This is the recently opened, newly remodeled restaurant formally occupied by Chow-Down. This is only 5 miles from the church but we recommend carpooling due to limited parking on Friday nights. Please sign up at the Women’s Table in the Upper Foyer.
PENNDEL KIDS CAMP
We will be attending the District Kids Camp during the week of July 25-29. This year’s theme is “RightSide Out”. If you are interested and would like more information, please see Pastor Jeff for details. Registration deadline is June 26.
MEN’S DINNER
The guys will be going to Infinito’s Pizza on Queen Street, right off I 83, next to the PennDot Licensing Center this Thursday, June 2. We will meet there at 6:30. Be sure to sign up and bring a friend.

GREETERS MINISTRY
We want to expand our current greeting ministry team. If you have a warm smile, a caring personality and would like to be on a rotating schedule to welcome our guests to church we need you! Please indicate your willingness to be a part of our team on a blue card in the pew rack. Put your name, phone # and “Greeter” and we will contact you.
WATER BAPTISM & MEMBERSHIP
If you would like to become a voting member of Dover Assembly or would like to follow the Lord in water baptism, please stop by the information center to pick up an application! We will be scheduling a class for each shortly.
NURSERY NEWS!
Good News! We will be needing some nursery workers on a rotating basis for our upstairs infant nursery on Sunday mornings during Sunday School and another team during the worship service! If you love itty bitty babies and would love to love on them - we need you! Please let Anna Bender or Deborah Dobbins know, or put your name on a card in the pew and place in the offering or put in Pastor's door.
PARENTS OF NURSERY THRU 6TH GRADERS
If you currently have a child(ren) in the nursery, preschool or ROCK church ministries, please be sure to retrieve your little bundles of joy immediately following the service. If you wish to fellowship after the service, please procure your precious ones first then return to chat. Our workers would greatly appreciate that. Thank you for your cooperation.
VBS TEAM
This year’s VBS is July 18-22. The theme is “Submerged”. “Finding Truth Below the Surface”. We still need adults to be a part of this outreach. If we do not have enough support we will not be able to minister to the children this summer. Please sign up in the lower foyer if you can be a part of our team!
SPECIAL NEEDS FOR VBS:
We will need the following for VBS:
· Water bottle caps
· Toilet paper and paper towel empty rolls
· Old prescription bottles (labels removed)
· Unwanted sea shells or starfish or any beach item
· Someone who could make an octopus costume
· Someone to paint empty 2-liter bottles

Sometimes our biggest problem is that we look at the situation around us and forget that God gives us the ability to succeed even when the odds are against us.
There are times when we have to pray about it, commit it to the Lord and then get to work!
Anything that keeps you from doing right only helps and feeds the enemy.

If you as a family are united, the enemy cannot defeat you!
Same goes for the church...If a church is united, God can accomplish great things, things that seem impossible to us.

Even in the midst of great progress and blessing, the enemy will still attempt to defeat you.
The last few verses say that we must either pray and trust or pray and work.
The key ingredient is prayer!

1. Know and understand that God does have a plan and trajectory for your life-so you can accomplish great things-maybe not what men consider great, but God does.
2. Know and understand that we will face opposition in every area of your life in pursuit of that plan.
