Offering: Conference Ministries

The offering for May 28 is for Conference Ministries with an emphasis on Sunset Lake Camp.

Last summer over 155 campers accepted Christ for the first time and 206 young people made decisions for baptism. Thanks to your support, last summer over 120 deserving children were able to attend camp.

Today the entire loose offering and funds designated for Conference Ministries this month goes to support the Sunset Lake Scholarship Fund. Our goal is $30,000 or 200 excited campers! Are you up to the challenge? Evangelism was never more fun!

Do you know someone who could benefit from this scholarship? Contact Sunset Lake Camp online at http://www.sunsetlake.org, email sunsetlakecamp@gmail.com, or call (360) 829-0311 for more information.

Passion for Serving?

Ever feel like you don’t “fit the mold” when it comes to serving in the church? Ever had an idea that was “out of the box”? At Mount Vernon, we encourage your dialogue and creativity in finding ways to serve from your giftings and passions. When we serve, everyone is blessed. Please prayerfully consider how God is asking you to serve, and then see Melissa, Pastor John, or an Elder/Deacon/ness to find your niche :).

Cup of Fellowship Inspiration:

The inspiration behind Cup of Fellowship has been two-fold. One, it gives us an opportunity to catch up with one another after the service, and two, it helps bring the conversation outside of the sanctuary after the service, allowing for continued meditation and prayer for those who desire. If you enjoy this ministry, please consider joining a team to host once a month. Please see Melissa Baskett for details.

Wildwood Lifestyle Center

Wildwood Lifestyle Center is looking for missionary minded physicians, nurse practitioners or physician assistants who have a passion for lifestyle medicine. Medical practitioners need to have a valid USA license. Stipend provided. If you sense the Lord may be calling you to come and help us full-time or part-time please contact Vaughan on 423-774-0534 or president@wildwoodhealth.org.

Audio/Video/Sound Volunteers

Perhaps you enjoy serving behind the scenes? We are always looking for help with video, the soundboard, and the PowerPoint/Visual. Please see Melissa Baskett or Jared Freeman to volunteer.

Donations for Camp Meeting:

We will collect empty milk/water jugs, old jeans, and purple yarn and take them to camp meeting and add them to the collection for community service projects. Leave them in the foyer in the large wooden box marked “Donations for Camp Meeting”.

Building a Dream, Praying with Faith

See this building? It's a new convention hall being built on the Washington State Fairgrounds in Puyallup. When the building is complete, the Seventh-day Adventist Church in western Washington will be the first renters!

This is where we will be hosting Revelation Speaks Peace with Shawn Boonstra and the Voice of Prophecy team! The seating capacity is for 2,000 people with plenty of parking available.

»Please join us in praying for our 18 partner churches as they prepare their communities to learn what the Bible has to say about peace amid the chaos of life. Pray, too, for the successful building of this new convention facility.
