How can we be the church?
1. Worship
a. Practice communion together (1 Corinthians 11:23–26)
b. Sing together (Ephesians 5:19)
c. Thank God together (Ephesians 5:20)
d. Pray together (Acts 2:42, Matthew 18:20)
2. Share
a. Make new disciples and baptize them (Matthew 28:19-20, 1 Peter 3:15)
b. Send out missionaries (Acts 13:2-3)
3. Grow
a. Equip believers to do ministry (Ephesians 4:11-12)
b. Teach and counsel each other (Colossians 3:16-17)
c. Teach biblical truth to people who will teach other people (2 Timothy 2:2)
4. Connect
a. Keep each other accountable (Matthew 18:17)
b. Live in community and share meals together (Acts 2:42)
c. Share each other's burdens (Galatians 6:2)
d. Pray for each other (James 5:16)
e. Love each other (John 15:12, 1 Peter 4:8)
f. Encourage each other (1 Thessalonians 5:11)
5. Serve
a. Use our gifts to benefit others (1 Corinthians 12:7)
b. Care for the needy (James 1:27)
c. Share resources with whoever has need (Acts 2:44-45)
d. Be hospitable with each other (1 Peter 4:9)
e. Be stewards of God's grace in this world (1 Peter 4:10)

Elder Prayer Gathering
In James 5, James says, “Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord.” To that end, the Elders are meeting Thursday, May 24, at 7 pm, in Room 372, and they would love the opportunity to pray with you. James mentions those who are "sick", and the Elders definitely want to pray for those who are facing sickness and desire prayer. But if there are other needs beyond sickness for which people seek prayer, the Elders would love to offer up prayers on their behalf.
ONE Sunday - May 27 (+ Breakfast!)
May 27 is a ONE Sunday! We will have ONE service only, at 10:45 am. Nursery will be available for children 2 and under. Regular Kid Connection, Student Ministries, and Adult Communities will not meet. Please join us for a light breakfast in the Activity Center at 10 am!

Last week we launched RightNow Media - it’s like the "Netflix of Video Bible Studies" and has a HUGE library of faith-based videos aimed at helping you grow. You can access the videos wherever you want (on your phone, computer, at home on your TV) and with whoever you want (alone, with your spouse, with your small group). Log in and look around!
