The Church is the Place of God’s Presence

· Paul calls the church the living temple of God

· Paul pictures the church as the Holy of Holies, the place of God’s presence

· We are to reflect God’s character and presence to our culture

· Do we reflect the character of God and the presence of God?


God is very Jealous for His Church

· Paul is focused on the building up and development of the church

· We can destroy the church’s character and testimony

· How do believers destroy the temple of God? Discord, Unrepentant sin, Focused on the earthly

· God will deal severely with His children who destroy His church (Hebrews 10:30-31)

· So, don’t live in the self-deception of pride and fleshly wisdom, walk humbly before the Lord (James 4:6, 4:10)


The Church has an Exalted Position in Jesus

· The church doesn’t belong to any apostle or to any teacher, they belong to the church (Ephesians 4:11-12)

· God has given everything to the church (Romans 8:30-31)

· He has given us everything because we belong to Him
