BE THOU MY VISION

Be Thou my Vision, O Lord of my heart;
Naught be all else to me, save that Thou art;
Thou my best thought, by day or by night,
Waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light.

Be Thou my Wisdom, and Thou my true Word;
I ever with Thee and Thou with me, Lord:
Thou my great Father, I Thy true son,
Thou in me dwelling, and I with Thee one.

Riches I heed not, or man’s empty praise,
Thou mine inheritance, now and always:
Thou and thou only, first in my heart,
High King of heaven, my treasure Thou art.

High King of heaven, my victory won,
May I reach heaven’s joys, O bright heav’n’s Sun!
Heart of my own heart, whatever befall,
Still be my Vision, O Ruler of all.

RUN TO THE FATHER

I’ve carried a burden for too long on my own.
I wasn’t created to bear it alone.
I hear Your invitation to let it all go.
I see it now, I’m laying it down, and I know that I need You.

Chorus:
I run to the Father, I fall into grace.
I’m done with the hiding, no reason to wait.
My heart needs a surgeon, my soul needs a friend.
So, I’ll run to the Father again and again and again and again.
Oh Oh Oh

You saw my condition, had a plan from the start.
Your Son for redemption, the price for my heart.
I don’t have a context for that kind of love.
I don’t understand, I can’t comprehend, all I know is I need You.

Chorus

My heart has been in Your sight, long before my first breath.
Running into Your arms is running to life from death.
And I fell this rush deep in my chest, Your mercy is calling out.
Just as I am, You pull me in, and I know I need You now.

Chorus X 2

AMAZING GRACE (MY CHAINS ARE GONE)

Amazing grace! How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me!
I once was lost but now I’m found;
Was blind, but now I see.

‘Twas grace that taught my heart to fear;
And grace my fears relieved.
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed.

Chorus:
My chains are gone, I’ve been set free.
My God, my Savior has ransomed me.
And like a flood His mercy reigns,
Unending love, amazing grace.

The Lord has promised good to me;
His word my hope secures.
He will my shield and portion be
As long as life endures.

Chorus X2

The earth shall soon dissolve like snow,
The sun forbear to shine,
But God, who called me here below,
Will be forever mine,
Will be forever mine, You are forever mine.

RUTH - TESTIMONY OF FUTURE GENERATIONS
Introduction
I. New Birth--the Fulfillment of Redemption
- What was the purpose of a kinsman redeemer?
- In much the same way, Jesus' redeeming grace offers a new birth.
(2 Corinthians 5:17-19; Romans 5:18)

II. Joy--the Response to Redemption
- The women cried out in joy for Naomi!
- Redemption should cause us to cry out in joy!

III. Loving-Kindness--the Result of Redemption
- What is the meaning of the Hebrew word, hesed?
- God chose to use Ruth (the Moabite) and Boaz (the kinsman redeemer) to be the royal lineage for the greatest kings in the history of Israel—David and Solomon! (Matthew 1:1, 5-6, 16)

AMAZING GRACE! HOW SWEET THE SOUND

Amazing grace! How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now am found,
Was blind, but now I see.

‘Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,
And grace my fears relieved;
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed!

Through many dangers, toils and snares
I have already come;
‘Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far,
And grace will lead me home.

When we’ve been there ten thousand years,
Bright shining as the sun,
We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise,
Than when we first begun.
