I Ran Out of that Grave
Matthew 28:1-10
“Suddenly Jesus met them” (verse 9).
Have you met Jesus?
Have you gone back to look?
The women, “went to look at the tomb” (verse 1).
When you look back, do you go back to spectate, or contemplate?
Have you seen evidence of God on earth?
He appears when our backs are against the wall; when we boldly stand alone; when our faith is questioned; and when we worship Him from our prison.
Are you looking for Jesus?
The angel said, “‘I know that you are looking for Jesus’” (verse 5).
Shrines and holy places represent where God was, but where will you find Him today?
a soul igniting, a disciple maturing, a saint enduring
Jesus is “‘going ahead of you’” (verse 7).
Are you going and telling?
“‘Go quickly and tell his disciples: ‘He is risen’” (verse 7).
“‘Go and tell my brothers to go… there they will see me’” (verse 10).
As you go, you meet Him!
as you go about your daily routine, as you go and faithfully serve others, as you go in your skepticism, as you pray and give
“I want you to know about the great and mighty power that God has for us followers. It is the same wonderful power he used when he raised Christ from death and let him sit at his right side in heaven” (Ephesians 1:19-20).
Two lives just ended: one missed Jesus; the other one met Him and helped others meet Him.
