1. Mercy means God forgives me.
Truth 1: God wants to forgive me.
Nehemiah 9:17 (TLB) – “…. You are a God of forgiveness, always ready to pardon, gracious and merciful, slow to become angry, and full of love and mercy…”
Truth 2: God freely forgives me.
Romans 3:23-24 (TLB) - Yes, all have sinned; all fall short of God’s glorious ideal; 24 yet now God declares us “not guilty” of offending him if we trust in Jesus Christ, who in his kindness freely takes away our sins.
Truth 3: God immediately forgives me.
Truth 4: God completely forgives me.
Psalm 103:12 (CEV) - How far has the LORD taken our sins from us? Farther than the distance from east to west!
Psalm 85:10 – Love and truth have come together; justice and mercy have kissed.
2. Mercy means that I forgive others.

A person should not be forgiven until he or she asks for it. T F

Truth 3: Forgiveness is not trusting the person again.
