Festival of Lights for River Youth
The River Youth is finishing out 2017 by inviting all students, in 6th-12th grade and their friends, to go to the Cincinnati Zoo’s Festival of Lights. Tickets are $11 which include travel to and from the Zoo and admission into the Zoo. We hope your student will join us! It’s going to be an amazing time. Christmas Eve Services
We would love to have you and your family as our guest for one of our Christmas Eve morning services at 9:45am, 11:15am, or 1:30pm. There will be NO evening services so you can spend with family.
Serve City
The River Church is scheduled to serve Saturday, December 23, from 9:45am-12:00pm. If you are interested in serving, all you need to do is arrive at 9:45am at Serve City and you will be shown how you can help. Serve City is a food pantry that reaches out to needy families in our area. They are located at 622 East Avenue, Hamilton. Angel Tree
As part of our continued outreach to those in need. The River Church is helping provide Christmas for families through Interfaith Hospitality. The Angel Tree will be located in the cafe and available on Sunday, November 26.
To help a local family with gifts, select one or more tags off the tree . Write on the check list which tags you chose, so we know who has each child/family.
Your purchased gift should be wrapped and have two name tags: a permanent one with the recipient’s name and the original tag. Place the gift(s) under the Angel Tree by Sunday, December 17. For more information contact Christy Bucher at 513-477-1077.
Another way you can bless families in need is to purchase day to day items for these families. Items in need are listed below. No need to wrap these items. Items donated will be divided amongst the families. Any of these items would be greatly appreciated. Donated items should be placed by the Angel Tree:

NB-Tween Girls Study
This small group will be starting on Sunday, January 7 from 9:45am-10:45am for girls (ages 9-13). The group will be led by Margaret Layman and Amy Sanders. Play The Man For Dads
Somewhere along the way, our culture lost its definition of manhood, leaving generations of men and men-to-be, confused about their roles, responsibilities, relationships, and the reason God made them men. We are inviting all men (even teens) to join us on Saturday, January 13 at 9:00am to listen to Mark Batterson talk about how we can navigate this “no-man’s-land” and learn how dads can better play the man for our kids and raise our sons to play the man. Daniel Fast
Starting Sunday, January 14 we are challenging our River Church Family to fast for either 7, 14, or 21 days. We are using this time to deepen our relationship with God and center ourselves around what God is going to do in our church and in our lives during this time.
During the fast, we will eliminate some common things from our daily diet. The diet is vegan based, eliminates caffeine, sugar, and artificial additives. Angels Among Us
There are times in life when we can be in a situation where a meal would be a blessing, such as after giving birth or when dealing with a medical situation. Through our Angels Among Us ministry, you can help people within our church by bringing them a meal. To join, send an email to info@HitTheRiver.com letting us know you’d like to be part of this ministry. When a need arises, you will receive an email asking if you can sign up to bring a meal.
