Book Discussion Starting in September
Starting in September, we’ll be reading a new book together, The Art of Neighboring and discussing it every other week on our Wednesday night Zooms. If you want to get a head start on reading, you can find the book at the library, at a local bookstore, or order it online.
Giving
Those who consider themselves part of the Porch family can give their tithes and offerings online either to our regular fund or you can designate a gift to the Benevolence Fund to help those in our community with financial needs during the COVID-19 crisis.
Tiny Groups
While we're not meeting in large groups, we still want to foster community and face-to-face relationship building. To sign up to form or join a Tiny Group, email Kala at admin@porchsf.com

New City Catechism, Scripture Reading, Sermon
New City Catechism | Q33: Should those who have faith in Christ seek their salvation through their own works, or anywhere else?
Answer: No, they should not, as everything necessary to salvation is found in Christ. To seek salvation through good works is a denial that Christ is the only Redeemer and Savior.
http://newcitycatechism.com/new-city-catechism/#33New City Catechism | Q34: Since we are redeemed by grace alone, through Christ alone, must we still do good works and obey God’s Word?
Answer: Yes, because Christ, having redeemed us by his blood, also renews us by his Spirit; so that our lives may show love and gratitude to God; so that we may be assured of our faith by the fruits; and so that by our godly behavior others may be won to Christ.

1 - Never forget the image of God.
2 - Listen to people that aren't like you.
3 - Be realistic about your own sinful heart.
