Online Giving

We believe all that we have comes from the gracious hand of our God. It's not ours to keep; we've been entrusted by Him to be good managers of all that He has given us. So we view the giving of our time, talents and resources to the Lord as an act of worship. Regarding the stewardship of our financial resources, there are several ways we can participate in worship through giving...physically giving at one of our Sunday Gatherings, via check or cash and digitally giving through our church app, our website, or clicking on the link below to access mobile giving. Give as the Lord leads you, not under guilt or compulsion, with a thankful heart. Thank you for worshiping God in this way and being a part of helping Northlake Church accomplish its purpose of making disciples who make disciples!

Wait With Surrender | Luke 1:26-38

LUKE 1:26-38 ESV

26 In the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, 27 to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. And the virgin's name was Mary. 28 And he came to her and said, "Greetings, O favored one, the Lord is with you!" 29 But she was greatly troubled at the saying, and tried to discern what sort of greeting this might be. 30 And the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. 31 And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus. 32 He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. And the Lord God will give to him the throne of his father David, 33 and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end." 34 And Mary said to the angel, "How will this be, since I am a virgin?" 35 And the angel answered her, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born will be called holy—the Son of God. 36 And behold, your relative Elizabeth in her old age has also conceived a son, and this is the sixth month with her who was called barren. 37 For nothing will be impossible with God." 38 And Mary said, "Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word." And the angel departed from her.

KEY THOUGHT...

We are able to wait with surrender because
--- We have been shown the GRACE of the Father through his Son, Jesus Christ

--- We are NOT ALONE because the Father promises he is WITH us through his Holy Spirit

--- We can BELIEVE and not be AFRAID because WITH Him, NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE

“God, I am your servant…I will surrender _________________ to you”
MARY WAS...

- Mary was GRACED by God
- Mary was promised God was WITH HER
- Mary was told "NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE WITH GOD" [with...not for]
- Mary BELIEVED and SURRENDERED

Jesus also modeled belief in His Father's will and surrendered his life as a servant [Philippians 2:5-11]
WHAT ABOUT US...

- We have been GRACED by the Father through Jesus Christ his Son
- We are NOT ALONE and have the promise that God is WITH us through the presence and indwelling of the Holy Spirit [JN 14:15-31]
- We can BELIEVE and SURRENDER to God because WITH him NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE
QUESTIONS TO CONSIDER...

1. What keeps us from SURRENDERING?
2. What are the CONSEQUENCES? [if we don't surrender...if we do surrender]
3. What is it going to take for you to be able to respond in the same way Mary responded to God... "I AM THE SERVANT OF THE LORD"

WEEKLY STATEMENT OF FAITH...
