Mistakes are part of our lives. Mistakes will happen! Some people will make more mistakes than others, but we are all guilty of making mistakes.

As funny as mistakes can be there is something that is never a mistake and that something is “you!” Many years ago Rick Warren wrote a book that took our world by storm. The book was called A Purpose Driven Life and on day two this is what Rick Warren had to say,

I am not an accident. No matter how my birth came about, even if it was a mistake in human terms, it was not a surprise to God. He had planned for it long before I was born. Not only did he know I was going to be born but he also knew where I would be born, how I would be born and even how long I would live. My life was perfectly planned and brought to perfect execution. He did all of this to fulfill His purposes. Now that I realize God is the one responsible for my life, I am accountable to God to make Him the focus of my life so that through Him and in Him I can discover its meaning and purpose.

There is likely people here who feel they are a mistake. God does not make mistakes. In fact, the Bible makes it very clear how the Lord thinks of you.
Mark Twain said, “The two most important in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.”

“Ideas have consequences,” said Catholic theologian George Weigel, “and bad ideas can have lethal consequences.”

One of those “bad ideas,” prominent in our culture, is that people are more biological machanines, the accidental products of chance, and therefore have no more value than the rest of the animal world.

Evolution wants to teach people we evolved from the animal world, specifically monkeys. God wants you to know He created you with purpose and design.

Bottom line: God makes no mistakes!

1. No matter how I came into this world God has a purpose for my life

2. No matter how others feel about me God loved me enough to give me
His Son Jesus Christ

3. No matter my mistakes God can and will forgive me
