God’s call to his people back then to join him in movement toward the promised land has great principles and insights for our journey of following God today. We’re to be ‘strong and courageous’ as we follow him whole-heartedly into the adventures awaiting us.

Why go to 'that' house? Because God was already at work in that house.
God’s always looking – always at work drawing people toward Himself. Rahab had a wandering heart, things got tough in her city and the feelings of fear were gripping the hearts of the people; then the same signs that caused fear in some, began pointing her toward the True God and faith in Him. God was working in the lives of Israel & others were noticing...God was using that to get their attention – to draw them toward faith in Him.
Friends: God wants to use YOU – He's at work WITHIN your life so others can begin to see Him! The things that are unfolding in your life, the stories of God’s interaction with you, can be used to draw others attention toward Him.
Faith is: believing in something and allowing it to shape how you now behave/act/respond. Faith invites our response (it moves us) - we’re not to be a mere bystander, but a participant! Rahab allows her budding faith to motivate her to take action. Faith is not merely about head knowledge – it’s to penetrate our hearts and permeate our life, our actions and our living.
God, because of His love, looks beyond our past and our labels. Our past does not predetermine our future. God longs to draw people to Himself and lead them to new beginnings.
