THE GOLDEN RULE: IN EVERYTHING, DO TO OTHERS WHAT YOU WOULD HAVE THEM DO TO YOU.
The Silver Rule: Don't do to others, what you don't want others to do to you.
SIX STEPS WHEN YOU LIVE OUT THE GOLDEN RULE:
1. YOU WILL BE PROMPTED BY THE SPIRIT.
2. YOU WILL TAKE A STEP OF FAITH.
-It will never, ever be easy.
3. YOU WILL FACE CERTAIN SETBACKS.
-Resistance doesn't mean you missed God's direction. Resistance might confirm you are on track.
4. YOU WILL EXPERIENCE SMALL GLIMMERS OF HOPE.
-Cultural Value: We are generous with who we are and what we have. We joyfully use the resources we have and the person we are; money, time, stuff, talent, influence; for Kingdom work. It is all a gift from God. We are stewards.
5. YOU WILL OFTEN EXPERIENCE MORE PAINFUL SETBACKS.
-Things that matter are hard.
-Keep loving, even when loving hurts.
6. YOU WILL LOVE SELFLESSLY, DO WHATEVER YOU BELIEVE IS RIGHT, AND TRUST GOD WITH THE RESULTS.
-You were made for more.
