We want to pursue it within a culture that lives out some key passions: Inviting, Connecting, Serving and everyone "owning it" - leveraging their investment to see people take first steps and next steps of faith.

We've been looking the last three weeks at our mission and the kind of culture Elements is to have as we: Invite, Connect and Serve. Today we want to call all of us to "own it" - to say yes to owning our part in this journey of following Jesus and fueling his mission here.

We're to OWN our relationship with Christ.
Jesus had a DTR with his disciples one day that challenged them on the tension that exists between being a FAN or FOLLOWER of him. Challenging them to own their faith in him and with him.

Luke 9:22-25 NIV

Jesus challenged them to own their "followership". It’s being totally and completely saved by grace – but now fueled by God’s grace to actually follow and grow into all God desires and designs for us.

Principle:
Owning our faith, isn’t about earning our faith, but it is about authenticating it.

Ephesians 4:11-15 NIV

We're not to stay spiritual babies waiting to be fed and grow – we’re actively engaged in the process of OWNING our faith as we follow after Jesus and His best for us.

We OWN that we must SHARE our faith. INVITING = “what we care about we share about”. “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. -Matthew 28:19
We OWN that we all have part in SERVING others, in our homes, church, neighborhoods, and community.
“God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another.” -1 Peter 4:10

We OWN that we are the church and our commitment to being the church! (EACH one doing their part - EVERYONE committed to doing it together)
