When we see someone we care about make bad decisions, we can either confront them about it or hope someone else does. But we should ask ourselves: are we really being kind, or are we letting fear, discomfort, or indifference be the boss of us?
We need to develop the habit of monitoring our hearts.
Our need of supervision may someday come to an end if we silence the toxic voices that come from within.

Care doesn't always feel caring.

These are emotions that basically disguise themselves as … sensitivity and concern, when in fact, they're just fear, discomfort, and apprehension.
In order to be for other people what Jesus actually calls and commands us to be, we have to recognize fear for what it is, discomfort for what it is, our fear of engaging in things that are uncomfortable for what it is.
Indifference | A lack of concern where there should be concern.
Indifference | “I shouldn’t interfere.”
Indifference | “They haven’t asked for my input.”
Indifference | “It’s none of my business.”

Why is it reckless? Because He didn't do the comfortable thing. He did the reckless thing.
God sent His Son into the world to die for your sins knowing you may not choose to receive the gift. God sent His Son into this world to pay for your sins, and He announced forgiveness ahead of time.
