SPEAK Truth: The Daily Disciple's Impact
The fruit of the disciple's life are the people who are impacted. As a disciple is sent throughout their daily life, the first productive endeavor is to speak what needs to be heard, truth.

Speaking Truth: The Daily Disciple's Impact

Aaron spoke for Moses to Pharoah...
Moses would be replaced.
God commanded His people to "listen" to Moses' replacement.
The Father commanded the disciples to "listen" to His Son.
Jesus replaces Moses, the prophet.
And He gave some [Speaking Truth] prophets ... 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ; 13 until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ.
Jesus gave many examples of speaking truth:
Nicodemus-John 3
Woman at the Well-John 4
Adulterous Woman-John 8
Disabled Man-John 9
Pharisees-Matthew 12 & 16/Luke 11
Rich Man-Matthew 19
Sisters-Luke 10
Tax Collectors-Luke 5 & 19
Pilate-John 18
A few Key Questions:
Why did Jesus speak?
How did Jesus speak?
What did Jesus say?
What was the immediate result?
How did Jesus respond to the hearer's reaction?
How to respond to Him:
Dear Lord Jesus, I confess I have been living my life for what I get out of it rather than who I experience it with. I confess that my only hope is in You, Jesus, because You died for my sin, was buried and rose from the dead. Now I turn from my reliance on what I get and trust in You and follow you in relationship to glorify the Father. Thank you for loving me. In Jesus name, Amen
