1. Disciples of Jesus Grow in Biblical Resilience
Resilience- the capacity to recover quickly from difficulties; toughness.
Disciple
a personal follower of Christ.
Disciple
a personal follower of Christ.
Billy Graham stated it like this.
“A disciple is simply someone who believes in Jesus and seeks to follow Him in his or her daily life.”
“A disciple is simply someone who believes in Jesus and seeks to follow Him in his or her daily life.”
Psalm 119:130 NLT
“The teaching of your word gives light, so even the simple can understand.”
“The teaching of your word gives light, so even the simple can understand.”
Matthew 28:18
Then Jesus came close to them and said, “All the authority of the universe has been given to me.[h]19 Now go in my authority and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. 20 And teach them to faithfully follow[i] all that I have commanded you. And never forget that I am with you every day, even to the completion of this age.”

To be a disciple of Jesus and pass on this discipleship to others.
Be in discipleship, Share Discipleship.
Be in discipleship, Share Discipleship.
To have a Nature and Disposition that is “Discipleship Prone” or
To have a deliberate affection and bias that is “Discipleship Inclined”
To have a deliberate affection and bias that is “Discipleship Inclined”
Discipleship prone people are more likely over time, to become more Christlike in their nature and daily actions.
Disciples Grow in biblical resilience. They have a greater capacity to recover from adversity. Because they have activated the teachings and ways of Jesus
2. Believing the bible matters
Philippians 4:13 ESV
I can do all things through him who strengthens me.
Romans 8:37 ESV
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
John 16:33 ESV
I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”
Isaiah 41:10 ESV
Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Isaiah 40:31 ESV
But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.
Philippians 4:19 ESV
And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
Romans 5:1-5 ESV
Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.

Genesis 45:4-7
New International Version
4 Then Joseph said to his brothers, “Come close to me.” When they had done so, he said, “I am your brother Joseph, the one you sold into Egypt! 5 And now, do not be distressed and do not be angry with yourselves for selling me here, because it was to save lives that God sent me ahead of you. 6 For two years now there has been famine in the land, and for the next five years there will be no plowing and reaping. 7 But God sent me ahead of you to preserve for you a remnant on earth and to save your lives by a great deliverance.[a]
