The Vision of Clearbranch UMC is Transformed Lives offering the Transforming Love of Christ
The Clearbranch Leadership Team will be meeting Monday, August 28th at 7:00pm in the café. This meeting is open to all as we hear reports from various ministries and discuss the work going on at Clearbranch.
Beginning August 9th and for four Wednesday evenings, we will be having our annual Fan the Flames prayer services. This is an opportunity to pray for students, educators, first responders, the military, local and national leaders. This is a special time to focus the prayers of the congregation as we move into the fall. Services begin each evening at 6:30pm in the worship center.
Today is the day for our 5th annual community-wide dodgeball tournament. The events begin at 6PM this evening. Student teams of 8-10 people can join in the competition.
Small groups are where we really begin to engage in Clearbranch community. Groups are where we build relationships and do life together. Our new small group schedule is kicking off soon. Wednesday evening groups will begin September 6th and Sunday groups will begin September 10th. Some new groups will be starting and existing groups are gearing up for the new year. If you have not yet joined a group, this is a great opportunity to take that next step!
Key Verse: 1 Corinthians 11:1 (NIV)
1 Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ.
27 But Barnabas took him, brought him to the apostles, and described for them how on the road he had seen the Lord, who had spoken to him, and how in Damascus he had spoken boldly in the name of Jesus.
25 Then Barnabas went to Tarsus to look for Saul, 26 and when he had found him, he brought him to Antioch. So it was that for an entire year they met with the church and taught a great many people, and it was in Antioch that the disciples were first called “Christians.”
