Sermon Title: Winning the War
Flourish
Flourish is a gathering of women hosted by the Clearbranch Women’s Ministry. These gatherings are to reinforce the belief that every woman is unique, has a purpose, and is created and loved by God. Our next Flourish gathering will be <b>Tuesday evening, August 15th, at 6:30</b>. Come, fellowship, rest, worship, learn and be as we celebrate the power and greatness of Jesus.
Fan the Flames
Beginning <b><i>August 9th and for four Wednesday evenings</i></b>, we will be having our annual Fan the Flames prayer services. This is an opportunity to pray for students, educators, first responders, the military, local and national leaders. This is a special time to focus the prayers of the congregation as we move into the fall. <b>Services begin each evening at 6:30pm</b> in the worship center.
Clearbranch Men
The Clearbranch Men will gather <b>Sunday evening, August 20th</b>, for fellowship, a great meal, and an inspiring message. This event is open to men of all ages. Join us as we grow together as men of God.
Students Dodgeball 2017
Mark your calendars now for our 5th annual community-wide dodgeball tournament to be held at Clearbranch on <b>Sunday, August 27th starting at 6PM</b>. Students can begin forming teams which will consist of 8-10 people.
16 He said, “The power of the Lord’s banner! The Lord is at war with Amalek IN EVERY GENERATION.”
8 Amalek came and fought with Israel at Rephidim. 9 Moses said to Joshua, “CHOOSE SOME MEN for us and go fight with Amalek. Tomorrow I’ll stand on top of the hill with the shepherd’s ROD OF GOD IN MY HAND.” 10 So Joshua did as Moses told him. He fought with Amalek while MOSES, AARON, and HUR went up to the top of the hill. 11 Whenever Moses held up his hand, Israel would start WINNING THE BATTLE Whenever Moses lowered his hand, Amalek would start winning. 12 But Moses’ HANDS GREW TIRED. So they took a stone and put it under Moses so he could sit down on it. Aaron and Hur HELD UP HIS HANDS, one on each side of him so that his hands remained steady until sunset. 13 So Joshua defeated Amalek and his army with the sword. 14 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Write this as a REMINDER on a scroll and read it to Joshua: I will completely wipe out the memory of Amalek under the sky.” 15 Moses built an altar there and called it, “The Lord is my banner.” 16 He said, “The power of the Lord’s banner! The Lord is at war with Amalek IN EVERY GENERATION.”
