SERMON NOTES
We are called to be peacemakers in our families.
TO BE A PEACEMAKER

The culture in Jesus day

Matthew 5:38-42

Peace is a common motif in scripture:

Isaiah 26:3-4

Numbers 6:24-26

Peace can only come through Jesus:

John 14:27

Ephesians 2:13-17

Romans 14:19

Hebrews 12:14

James 3:18

1 Peter 3:11

Jesus's definition of peacemaker? Someone who is actively seeking to reconcile people to God and to one another.
TO BE A PEACEMAKER IN YOUR HOME

Taking Your Faith To The Next Level

We all get to the point in our spiritual life where we just go through the motions and never really advance. We get lazy or indifferent and forget the power that Jesus has in our lives when we truly pursue him. So how do we do that? How do we go to the next level in our relationship with Christ? We are going to learn from Peter seven different qualities that we can use in our lives to take our walk with Jesus to the next level!
Next Week's Message: Going Through the Motions

2 Peter 1:5-8
