<b>Water Wars!</b><br>The River Youth will be concluding summer on Sunday August 13 with our annual Water Wars event from 6:30pm-8:00pm. We will be doing all kinds of Water Balloon based games as well as Slip-N-Slide kickball. This is going to be such an amazing event. Make sure your student joins us! <br><br><b>RiverBank Kids Backpack Blessing</b><br>Back to school is just around the corner! On Sunday, August 13 all children preschool through 5th grade are welcome to bring their backpack to church. The teachers will be praying over the children and their backpacks before they head off to school to start the year. We want to remind our kids that they are not going to school alone, but with our support and protected by God.<br><br><b>Dinner With The Elders</b><br>You are invited to join the Elders for a pizza dinner at the church on Monday, August 21, from 5:30pm-6:30pm. If interested, please sign up on your connection card or email info@HitTheRiver.com today! Space is limited to 12 adults.<br><br><b>Back To School Night</b><br>On Sunday, August 27, The River Youth will be having our annual Back to School Night from 5:30pm-8:00pm. We are adding more time because we will be doing something new this year that we believe will set students up for an amazing year in their relationship with Christ. Students always look forward to this night and we believe this year will be just as impactful. Please make sure your student joins us that night. <br><br><b>RiverBank Kids Volunteer Training Event</b><br>Save the date! RiverBank Kids will be hosting a training event for all teachers, helpers, and volunteers on Wednesday, August 30 from 6:30pm-8:00pm. Come enjoy dessert, fellowship, and training to help us best serve our River Kids. Please RSVP by emailing Tami Richardson at tami@hittheriver.com. Please indicate if childcare is needed, as it will be provided. <br><br><b>Fall Woman's Study</b><br>SAVE THE DATES- Tuesday's, September 12 thru October 24. There will be two class times, 9:30am-11:30 am, and 6:30pm-8:30pm. Our study will be The Power of a Praying Woman by Stormie Omartian.<br><br><b>Worship Team-Volunteers Needed</b><br>Do you have talent that you want to use for God’s Glory? The River Church Band and Tech Team are looking to add a few more team members. If you have been thinking about joining the team, now is the time! We need People for the following positions:<br>-Sound Tech<br>-Lighting Tech<br>-Bass Guitar<br>-Drums<br>-Tenor Vocals<br>If interested please see Kim Porter or send her an email at Kim@HitTheRiver.com.<br><br><b>Serve the Homeless</b><br>The River Church partners with Interfaith Hospitality Network four times each year to care for local homeless families in need of food and lodging. An adult volunteer, or group of volunteers, is needed to prepare/compile an Italian meal to serve on a Friday night, spend the night at Our Lady of Sorrows church in Monroe with the families, and prepare and serve a hot breakfast before the families leave on Saturday morning.
