<b>Christmas in July</b><br>Celebrate our 2nd annual Riverbank Kids Christmas in July on Tuesday, July 25th from 1:00pm-3:30pm. Children 4 years old-5th grade are invited to learn about Operation Christmas Child (the shoebox ministry) and play games, make crafts and enjoy a special snack. This is different than the Christmas in July that the mission team is doing for the Northwest Haiti Christian Mission. There is no need to sign up for this party; just follow the candy canes to the RAZ room on July 25.<br><br><b>River Youth Kings Island</b><br>Sign your student up at https://hittheriver.com/events/fuel-kings-island-072717 for the annual trip to Kings Island for BOTH the Junior High &amp; Senior High Ministry (6th-12th grade) on Thursday, July 27 from 9:00am-10:00pm.<br><br><b>Family Outdoor Movie Night</b><br>Enjoy a fun night with the family watching Mary Poppins out back on the big screen on Friday, July 28 at 8:30pm. Bring your chairs and blankets, because we will be watching the movie out behind The River’s building. Popcorn, snacks and drinks will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own. The movie night is happening rain or shine. We will move indoors if it is wet outside. More info at https://hittheriver.com/events/family-movie-night-072817<br><br><b>River Youth Goes to The Twist</b><br>On Sunday, July 30, The River Youth is going to The Twist Ice Cream Company for some delicious summer treats. Students should come meet at The River at 6:30pm for some worship and a quick lesson before loading up and heading to The Twist. Make sure your student has money for the Twist. Parents can pick up their students (as well as some Ice Cream) at 8:00pm that evening. <br><br><b>Water Wars!</b><br>The River Youth will be concluding summer on Sunday August 13 with our annual Water Wars event from 6:30pm-8:00pm. We will be doing all kinds of Water Balloon based games as well as Slip-N-Slide kickball. This is going to be such an amazing event. Make sure your student joins us!<br><br><b>Serve the Homeless</b><br>The River Church partners with Interfaith Hospitality Network four times each year to care for local homeless families in need of food and lodging. An adult volunteer, or group of volunteers, is needed to prepare/compile an Italian meal to serve on a Friday night, spend the night at Our Lady of Sorrows church in Monroe with the families, and prepare and serve a hot breakfast before the families leave on Saturday morning.
