1. Knowing Jesus and knowing about Jesus are two different things.
2. Everything -- Jesus = Nothing

-Association - "I was a member of the Pharisees who demand the strictest obedience to the Jewish law." (3:5)
-Sincerity - "I was so zealous that I harshly persecute the church" (3:6)
-Morality - "And as for righteousness, I obeyed the law without fault" (3:6)

Legalism believes that we can earn or keep God's favor by what we do.

3. Jesus + Nothing = Everything.
