ALL HAIL THE POWER OF JESUS' NAME
All hail the power of Jesus’ name! Let angels prostrate fall;
Bring forth the royal diadem, And crown Him Lord of all;
Bring forth the royal diadem, And crown Him Lord of all.
Ye chosen seed of Israel’s race, Ye ransomed from the fall,
Hail Him who saves you by His grace, And crown Him Lord of all;
Hail Him who saves you by His grace, And crown Him Lord of all.
We’ll crown Him.
Let Ev’ry kindred, ev’ry tribe On this terrestrial ball,
To Him all majesty ascribe, And crown Him Lord of all;
To Him all majesty ascribe, And crown Him Lord of all.
We’ll crown Him Lord of All.
We’ll crown Him.
O that with yonder sacred throng We at His feet may fall!
We’ll join the everlasting song, And crown Him Lord of all;
We’ll join the everlasting song, And crown Him Lord of all.
We’ll crown Him Lord of all.
We’ll crown Him Lord of all.
Bring forth the royal diadem, And crown Him Lord of all;
Bring forth the royal diadem, And crown Him Lord of all.

BEFORE THE THRONE OF GOD ABOVE
Before the throne of God above
I have a strong and perfect plea;
A great High Priest whose name is Love,
Who ever lives and pleads for me.
My name is graven on His hands,
My name is written on His heart.
I know that while in heav’n He stands
No tongue can bid me thence depart,
No tongue can bid me thence depart.
When Satan tempts me to despair
And tells me of the guilt within,
Upward I look and see Him there
Who made an end of all my sin.
Because the sinless Savior died
My sinful soul is counted free;
For God the just is satisfied
To look on Him and pardon me,
To look on Him and pardon me.
Behold Him there, the risen Lamb,
My perfect spotless righteousness,
The great unchangeable I AM,
The King of glory and of grace.
One with Himself I cannot die;
My soul is purchased by His blood.
My life is hid with Christ on high,
With Christ, my Savior and my God,
With Christ my Savior and my God!
I have a strong and perfect plea;
A great High Priest whose name is Love,
Who ever lives and pleads for me.
My name is graven on His hands,
My name is written on His heart.
I know that while in heav’n He stands

No tongue can bid me thence depart.

With Christ my Savior and my God!
SCRIPTURE READING
1 Peter 1:3-9, 13
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,4 to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you,5 who by God's power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.6 In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials,7 so that the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.8 Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory,9 obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
13 Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

LIVING HOPE
How great the chasm that lay between us.
How high the mountain I could not climb.
In desperation I turned to heaven,
and spoke Your name into the night.
Then through the darkness,
Your loving-kindness tore through the shadows of my soul.
The work is finished, the end is written.
Jesus Christ, my living hope.
Hallelujah, praise the One who set me free!
Hallelujah, death has lost its grip on me!
You have broken every chain, there’s salvation in Your name.
Jesus Christ, my living hope! (Repeat)
Then came the morning that sealed the promise,
Your buried body began to breathe.
Out of the silence, the roaring Lion,
Declared the grave has no claim on me.
Then came the morning that sealed the promise,
Your buried body began to breathe.
Out of the silence, the roaring Lion,
Declared the grave has no claim on me.
Jesus, Yours is the victory!
Hallelujah, praise the One who set me free!
Hallelujah, death has lost its grip on me!
You have broken every chain, there’s salvation in Your name.
Jesus Christ, my living hope! (Repeat)
Jesus Christ, my living hope!
God, You are my living hope!

UPHOLDING THE TESTIMONY OF GOD BY FAITH
Introduction
1. The Testimony of God Is Three-fold

- The Testimony of the Baptism and Crucifixion
(Mark 1:10-11; Hebrews 9:13-14, 22)
(Mark 1:10-11; Hebrews 9:13-14, 22)
- The Testimony of a Broken Heart
(John 19:33-34)
(John 19:33-34)

- The Testimony of Judicial and Daily Cleansing
(Ephesians 5:25-26)
(Ephesians 5:25-26)

2. The Testimony of God Is the Testimony of the Believer
- Since we believe the testimony of men, why in the world would we question the testimony of God?
(Romans 12:3)
(Romans 12:3)
- If we believe in Jesus, we have this same testimony inside us.
- If we do not believe in Jesus, we are calling God a liar.
3. The Testimony of God Is Eternal Life as Promised
- The purpose of this letter is to give assurance of eternal life to the believer.
- The promise of this letter is that we have eternal life in Jesus—there is no other way.
