Why participate in Financial Peace University?

To develop a new kind of normal

Three principles I must understand if I want to live differently or better:

Principle 1: Money is a powerful force over me.

Distortion 1: “Money is a sign of God’s blessing,and poverty is a sign of His displeasure.”

Distortion 2: Money is evil.

Principle 2. How I use my money expands and limits my options.

Proverbs 22:7 (TEV) - Poor people are slaves of the rich. Borrow money and you are the lender’s slave.

Principle 3. If I don’t tell my money where to go, my money will tell me where to go.

Deuteronomy 8:18 (TEV) – “Remember that it is the LORD your God who gives you the power to become rich…”

A. Managing my money requires a plan.

B. Wise people manage their money.

C. Building my wealth takes time and self-discipline.

Conclusion: The Plan – Financial Peace University.
