Acts 12:20-24

“James Killed-Peter Rescued”
Acts 12:1-11;20-24

The presence of hardship and pain does not mean the absence of God

1.Evil men with evil agendas have always abounded, we need noble people with noble agendas

2.The presence of hardship and loss does not mean God is displeased or has abandoned us

3.Although asking “why” is natural, asking “what” can be more helpful

4.Earnest prayer is our best offensive weapon

5.God’s power and leadership are seen most clearly in our most difficult times

Psalm 68: 34 Ascribe power to God, whose majesty is over Israel, and whose power is in the skies. 35 Awesome is God from his sanctuary; the God of Israel—he is the one who gives power and strength to his people. Blessed be God!

6.God brings vengeance and justice we don’t have to take it into our own hands

7.The obstacles we face often becoming launching pads for our future
