They will be afforded all the rights and privileges of an Credentialed Minister. These credentials are only valid in the issuing church. The deacon board has determined and the district office has approved that Keith Miller and Luis Nunez have met that requirement. On March 19, we will have an installation service to officially welcome Keith (Lynette) and Luis (Edith) as our “Pastors”. There will be a light welcome luncheon following the service. March 1, 2015 was their kick off service! Praise God for His faithfulness.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT. . .
Last week we presented Dover Assembly’s vision and plan for the future. We unveiled our new logo and introduced our 3 year strategic plan for your church. Our condensed vision is:

Connecting to God, Building People, Offering Hope!

It will be accomplished through the pattern God initiated in the book of Acts. We have the mandate of going into our community, we have the power of the Holy Spirit to enable us, now we are being intentional about our efforts. As the weeks progress, we will roll out new goals and plans to accomplish our great commission. We want everyone to be an integral part of this vision God has given our leadership!

1 Peter 2:9

Galatians 2:7

Leviticus 10:1-2

Hebrews 10:12

Today instead of animal sacrifices, we as believers have spiritual sacrifices.

1 Peter 2:4-5

Romans 12:1

The Bible also tells us that we are not our own, but we were bought with a price, therefore honor God with your bodies.

How we live our lives, how we take care of our bodies, how we use our physical abilities and talents is a spiritual act of worship.
hey

Hebrews 13:15

When we sing praises to God and when we lift him up in worship, we are giving God a spiritual sacrifice.

When we sing and praise God even when we don’t feel like it, we are sacrificing what we feel, in order to give God what he is due.

Since we are all priests according to Peter, we are all to worship and praise Him.

Philippians 4:18

When we give of our finances to God’s work, we aren’t giving them to an individual or even a church. Paul said here, that the money he received for his ministry was a fragrant offering, a sacrifice made to God.

Romans 15:15-16

When we set goals and have specific plans for reaching this community, we are doing it because God has called each of us as a Priest in God’s kingdom to fulfill our responsibility.

Priests in the Old Testament were called to be set apart from everyone else. As New Testament Christians we are also called to be set apart.

Romans 12:2

As we are now all priests, we still have our High Priest who made that one sacrifice that we could not.

Hebrews 3:1

Hebrews 4:14

We all now have free access to God. We no longer need someone going on our behalf.

We don’t need someone to offer sacrifices in order for us to be able to come to God.

All of us who trust in Jesus for our salvation have free access to our Father.
Your true calling and what God designed each of us for is to be a priest in His kingdom.

As priests of God, we really aren’t just ordinary church goers-we are specifically and deliberately called by God to be a priest!

Priests would come to the temple, not to receive, but to minister...
Old Testament priests were supposed to be a spiritual influence for godliness around them.

They were to lead the Israelites and in turn, the Israelites were supposed to influence all the nations around them.

Exodus 19:5-6

We are already priests. God has chosen us, called us and given us the privilege of being a priest in His service. Being the influencers.

Are we being the believers that the world would want to be like?

Ephesians 4:11-12

Hebrews 10:21-25
