Hey LCC Family! Here are some of the details you’ve been asking for about the service for this weekend.
Longview Christian Church will be opening the doors of 2400 McCann Rd. for a worship service at 10 AM on Sunday. While we are doing our best to provide as welcoming of an environment as we can for the weekend, it will take everyone being wise and faithful.
We ask that those joining us do their best to Love their neighbors as themselves and consider the needs of others as greater than their own. We ask that you limit physical contact and be respectful of distances
with those around you.
There are still a great many opinions about what level of interaction is
appropriate at this point—be cool! We will also be streaming the service live for those who are advised to stay home, who must stay home do the sensitive nature of their vocation, and for those who choose to wait a little
longer before engaging more with the community in larger groups. We will also continue to send out our weekly lessons for kids and youth.
For those who are considering the trip to the building, this is what you can expect.
* We will have 3, on-campus, venues for you to enjoy the service. The team will be in-person in the auditorium, we will have a few tables set up in the Big Room for those who would like to spread out a little more, and we will have a TV/speaker system set up at the playground for those with kiddos who would be more comfortable outside.
* We will have our impact team present to help direct traffic and hold doors for everyone, entering and leaving the building.
* We will have hand sanitizing stations for your convenience. Also, if you would be more comfortable in a mask, please feel free to wear one, but we are not requiring them.
*We will be alternating rows in the auditorium to help with distancing.
* We will have a self-service table for you to pick up your prepackaged communion elements to take with you into the service, and they will be available after the service when you leave.
*We do not plan to have anyone with a clicker or counter, so we don’t have too many. We don’t plan to turn anyone away. We really hope people making the decision to be will us at the building will love each other well and be considerate.
* We are trying to provide a diversity of options to see what sticks and what’s helpful. Our situation is still fluid. We fully expect things to
change multiple times in the coming weeks. Thank you so much for hanging in there with us!
Blessings,
