Revelation 10:1-11
1 And I saw another strong messenger coming down out of the sky wrapped in a cloud, and the rainbow(was) upon his head and his face (was) as the sun and his feet (were) as pillars of fire, 2 and he was holding in his hand a small portion of the document. And he put his right foot upon the sea, moreover, his good name upon the land, 3 and he cried out in a loud voice just as a lion roars. And whenever he cried out, the seven thunders spoke with their own voices. 4 And whenever the seven thunders spoke, I was about to write, and I heard a voice from the sky saying, “Seal that which the seven thunders spoke, and do not write them.” 5 And the angel, which I saw standing upon the sea and upon the land, lifted his right hand into the sky 6 and he made a vowto the ones living into the ages of ages, he who created the sky and the things in it and the land and the things in it and the sea and the things in it, (saying) this: “The time is not yet, 7 but (is) in the days of the voice of the seventh messenger, whenever the he shall be about to blow the trumpet, and the mystery of God is completed,” as he declared the gospel to his own servants the prophets. 8 And the voice which I heard from the sky again spoke with me and said: “Open up! Receive the open document in the hand of the messenger standing upon the sea and the land!” 9 And I went toward the messenger telling him to give me a small portion of the document. And he said to me: “Receive and devour it and it will sour your stomach but, in your mouth, it will be sweet as honey.” 10 And I received the small portion of the document out of the hand of the messenger and I ate it, and it was in my mouth as sweet honey and whenever I ate it, my stomach was soured. 11 And they said to me, “It is necessary for you again to prophesy against peoples and nations and languages and many kings.”
