We start the story at the pinnacle of the greatest public successes in Elijah’s life in 1 Kings 18. It is the famous story of the prophet Elijah defeating the false prophets of Baal on Mount Carmel. This sets the first bookend of this intriguing story of parallels. And... yet... as we are about to find out... Elijah’s success out there, is not equal to the success IN HERE (in his heart). Something is about to be revealed that is so shocking it is almost unthinkable.
