WEEK ONE: KNOW GOD INTIMATELY

Day Three

Paul is very aware that he is in this world but no longer of this world (John 17:14-15). He is found in Christ! This gives him a deep sense of security no matter what persecutions or troubles surround him. We all like to feel safe and secure, especially in this troubled age, but where do we get that security from? Relationships? Savings? Insurance policies? Skills?

Though Paul has good reason to lean on his abilities to get by, he does no such thing! His boast is of his utter need for Christ. Paul’s security flows from his faith in God’s word, the presence of the Holy Spirit within him, and the revelation of the fact that he is secure in Christ.

Today, consider if you feel insecure in any way or in any area of life. Give those insecurities to God. Ask Him to give you the same revelation that Paul had; you who are saved are in Christ, and indeed Christ is in you, the hope of glory. (Colossians 1:27)

2. List the insecurities you're giving up.
3. ASK: God, what are you saying to me today?
