Day 4 – Two things at once
Reflect
Two things were happening at once. How many times is this the case in our own lives? A vital convergence was about to occur that would change the course of history. Peter was observing the second time of prayer when he became unusually hungry, so he made arrangements for a meal to be prepared. The Holy Spirit was also making arrangements as the messengers from Caesarea were about to arrive. This seemed like an ordinary day, but it was so much more. What Peter saw next in a vision caused a dramatic shift in his viewpoint towards the Gentiles, essential to his sharing the gospel with them.
Respond
Whether I realise it or not, God is always working behind the scenes to accomplish His will, working in multiple lives and circumstances. Today, I open my mind to new thoughts from the Holy Spirit. "My heart is an open space for You to come and have Your way."
